Most Important: DO NOT LET THE STAIN DRY! Blot as much of the stain out
as possible using cool water. For heavy fabrics, rub table salt into the
stain. Stretch the fabric, face-down, over a large bucket and secure with
a rubber band. Pour boiling water THROUGH the stain. DO NOT let the stain
set in the hot water as this will set the stain into the fabric (pouring
hot water through the fabric will not set the stain, as the water does not
stay on the fabric long enough for the colors to penetrate). Pre-treat and
launder as usual in cool water. If fabric will not stand boiling water,
blot the stain with vinegar and rinse with cool water. If stain persists,
cautiously blot with rubbing alcohol. Pre-treat and launder as usual. If,
after second washing, the stain will not come out, try a commercial color
remover.
